It exists in the ISA 2004 prtoocol definitions as "Microsoft CIFS". It's also used in the system policies, which is where you should be modifying any rules pertaining to the ISA itself. Remember; even a VPN connection is considered a ntwork object and as wsuch, rules need to be created (or modified) in order for traffic to flow through it. Whether it's a DMZ connection doesn't matter -- that doc covered the protocols required for intradomain communciations, and we created a Protocol Definition for the Direct Access port. Why? Because "all open" is only truly "all open" for Firewall clients. "All open" for SecureNAT clients included everything that has a Protocol Definition in the ISA firewall's list of protocols.
