Take a look in the FW...log on their ISA. An entry of "13301" tells you
that the traffic was specifically refused.
Also, you can look in the WEB...log for any "12202" errors for those
connections.

Subject: [isalist] Mercnet - cannot submit claims

http://www.ISAserver.org

Hi,
I hope somebody can shed some light on this. I have a customer who
cannot submit warranty claims to Mercnet through ISA server, but they can
through a dialup internet connection. This customer was able to submit
claims to Mercnet through the ISA server until the afternoon of Jan 3 when
it stopped working. When using ISA they can order parts and validate
Warranty clains. However when they click on the "submit" button they get an
"Error on Page" message that does not appear if they use a dialup internet
connection.
I can submit Warranty claims to Mercnet using our ISA server here. I
compared every setting on our ISA server to theirs and found the only
difference (aside from LAT) was they were allowing SMTP and POP3 protocols.
But they were doing that long before the Mercnet problem occurred. I
installed the proxy client software on one of their pcs, created a filter to
allow all traffic between their ISA and an ip that Mercnet gave me. It did
not make any difference.
Does anyone have any idea what to check next? Mercnet will not tell me
what the Warranty claims submission programming is asking for that the Parts
Ordering program is not asking for.

thanks

Peter White
