Sounds like your list of sites to bypass is being interpreted wrong. -----Original Message----- From: Matthew Cranfield [mailto:matthew.cranfield@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, January 12, 2006 10:54 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] re: Local Intranet Zone and AutoConfiguration Script http://www.ISAserver.org Hi, I have a rather strange problem with a new ISA 2004 installation and wonder if any one has any ideas. I am trying to get the clients to bypass the proxy for local websites, e.g. on the Web Broswer tab for the 'Internal' network I have added "*.mydomain.com" and "my.ip.range.*" to the by pass sites box. The clients are configured to use the AutoConfiguration script to obtain this information from the ISA and they have the ISA 2004 firewall client installed, and setup to configure the web browser. The clients connect to the Internet fine and when browser webservers in the .mydomain.com by pass the proxy server and the IE client rightly shows this as being in the Local Intranet zone. However, if you browse Internet sites such as www.isaserver.org this website is still reported as being in the Local Intranet zone and not the internet zone? If I disable the autoconfiguration script, all sites are reported to be in the Internet Zone including internal sites, and if I manually add the internal sites to the bypass list on the client, this gets wiped out by the firewall client. We are using Windows XP with SP2 as the client and they have the latest version of IE 6 installed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: dball@xxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
