Load Balancing Published Servers

Apologies for the double post. My last one came through quite messed up
depending on your mail reader! :)
At MEC they talked about .net server have vastly improved load balancing
aspects for ISA server.
Today though, is there a good way to load balance INCOMING requests for
servers I have published? Specifically, Exchange servers? I am going to run
2 ISA servers. I know for outgoing requests I can just run them in an array,
correct? Incoming though I cannot afford a hardware solution to do load
balancing. So am I left with anything beyond round robin DNS, which is not
perfect . . .
