Hi Joseph, I think the Linksys supports PPTP passthrough. That way you can VPN into the ISA firewall using PPTP. If you terminate the connection on the front-end linksys device, you'll have to use VPN passthrough to get into the Internal network (which means terminating the second VPN connection at the ISA firewall). So, why not just use a single VPN connection to the ISA firewall? They want to use it as the end point. So, basically, INTERNET >> LINKSYS >> ISA (ISA PLUGGED INTO THE DMZ PORT ON LINKSYS) >> DMZ >> ETC Thank you, Joseph ----- Original Message ----- From: Thomas W Shinder To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Sent: Sunday, May 30, 2004 6:19 PM Subject: [isalist] RE: LINKSYS firewall router and ISA connections http://www.ISAserver.org Hi Tiago, What is the purpose of the Linksys? Are you using it as a honeypot? I also have doubts about this device. Has anyone ever used it? -----Mensagem original----- De: cismic [mailto:cismic@xxxxxxx] Enviada: sáb 5/29/2004 17:13 Para: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Cc: Assunto: [isalist] RE: LINKSYS firewall router and ISA connections ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: cismic@xxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
