Disable that winsock proxy client, then test through the ISA web proxy service. Make sure you've 1) set IE to use the Sun plugin (Through Internet Options | Advanced tab) and 2) configured the plugin to use the ISA as a proxy server. If you set it to use your browser settings then make sure you have IE set to use the ISA as a proxy. You will also want to make sure you have basic authentication enabled on the ISA and NOT have digest. The Sun plugin claims to support digest authentication but I have never been able to make it go through. -Shawn ----- Shawn R. I have a brand new install of ISA 2000 on W2K3 with all the appropriate patches as discussed on MS site and on this list. I am currently in the testing phase, which means the server has virtually no load on it (other than myself). My laptop has IE 6.0 SP1 with Sun Java 1.4.2 only and I am only currently testing the web proxy service. (I still have MS Proxy 2.0 winsock client installed and enabled.) For some reason, I have trouble loading javascript or java pages. If I turn off the web proxy settings in my browser, the pages load fine. Any suggestions or tweaks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: shawn.quillman@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
