What happens when you disable and enable interfaces is that the last interface enabled gets to set the default GW and this is why it works sometimes and sometimes not. Hope this helps r. -----Original Message----- From: Skak [mailto:khairuddin@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, December 25, 2004 4:02 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Isa typical problem http://www.ISAserver.org Hi Ppl, I am facing a very diff and a typical kinda problem with ISA let me show the scenario we use ISA as a proxy server I have 2 nic cards installed 1 is hosted with a real ip and another with a fake public ip 192.168.1.1 it was working good and we were happy suddenly my users came complaining that they cant browse so i went and checked the server services were runing good then i thought pinging the gateway of our isp and it came up with " request time out" then again I went to another system and tried pinging the gateway it was working fine which made me sure that there is problem from the isa when i disabled nic card which was hosting a fake ip my another card started pinging the gateway later i disbled both the cards and enabled out network stated working fine but this happens often please try to help me you earlies response will be appreciated Happy christmas to u all skak ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: romari@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: khairuddin@xxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
