Jeff,

It still appears that GFI is wrong. Here is some additional information
from Microsoft rep. From the instructions below it seems that by default
the option to install additional connectors is not there but this can be
over come by customizing setup.

Hi Amy,

I found something inside the help of SBS2k3....

To add Exchange connectors

Installing an Exchange connector requires that the Network News Transfer
Protocol (NNTP) service for Internet Information Services (IIS) is
running. To
verify the service is running, click Start, click Run, and then type
Services.msc. Ensure Status is listed as Started and Startup type is
listed as Automatic.

Insert Windows Small Business Server 2003 Disc 2 into the drive.

Click Start, click Run, and then type D:
\Exchsrvr65\Setup\i386\Setup.exe, where D: is the letter of your drive.

Click Next to begin the Microsoft Exchange Installation Wizard.

When you are prompted for the Product Identification, type the Windows
Small Business Server 2003 product key.

On the Component Selection page, under Action for Microsoft Exchange,
click the drop-down list, and then click Change.

Under Action for Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration
Services, click the drop-down list, and then click Change.

Under Action for the connector that you need to add, click the drop-down
list, and then click Install.

Click Next, and then follow the instructions.

Note: A connector is a component that enables information flow between
two systems. By default, Windows Small Business Server 2003 Setup
installs
a Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) connector and the Microsoft
Connector for POP3 Mailboxes. SMTP provides messaging connectivity
between
Exchange message systems, and the POP3 connector provides messaging
connectivity for POP3 e-mail. To add additional connectors, use Exchange

Setup.

Does GFI FAXmaker for Exchange work with Small Business Server 2003?

  _____

The information in this article applies to:

* GFI FAXmaker for Exchange 10

  _____

Article ID: KBID001923
Query keywords: Small Business Server (SBS)

2Small+Business+Server+%28SBS%29%22>

No, it does not. The Exchange server version included with Small
Business Server 2003 is not identical to the normal full Exchange Server
2003: The Small Business Server Exchange does not support connectors.
Fax messages are not routed to the GFI FAXmaker connector and therefore
faxes can not be sent out. This is true for any third party fax
connector you wish to install, and even for some general purpose
Microsoft connectors (such as the Notes connector).

We have not received any information from Microsoft whether this is a
bug or whether this is intentional.

GFI is researching the matter further; however in the meantime Small
Business Server 2003 remains unsupported.
