Well, I moved my main internal network setting over to the Default Internal network, and re-ran the setup. It worked this time! Apparently the setup program looks for some settings in the default networks, and if none exist it dies out. It's just as well, hopefully in a few months we won't have multiple internal networks, and everything can reside in the default one anyways. 3. Running the setup again shows there isn't much to it, it had died during the initial setup phase. 4. Apparently, I didn't remember choosing anything because there wasn't anything to choose! Besides accepting the EULA and verifying the right keycode was there, everything else was just next, next, next... ________________________________ From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Harrison Sent: Thursday, December 28, 2006 9:26 AM To: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [isalist] Re: Installing ISA2006? 3. Not far at all. [Jim] - that's like saying "I kinda like; y'no - did stuff..?" Exactly where in the installation were you when you received this error? 4. Don't remember choosing anything, but will have to run it again to find out for certain. [Jim] - that's a good idea On a side note; has this ISA CD worked on any other system? Do you have any errors in the removable storage? Do other installation CDs work in this system? ISA2006SE CD 2. Ran "Install" from CD autoplay menu 3. Not far at all. 4. Don't remember choosing anything, but will have to run it again to find out for certain. Lots and lots of searching didn't turn up anything, but since it references INTERNALNETRANGES I think I "might" have an idea what the problem is... The default Internal network is empty because I have three other Internal networks. I think I'll try restructuring that today, to move one of the Internal network settings over to the default one. ________________________________ From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Harrison Sent: Wednesday, December 27, 2006 3:07 PM To: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [isalist] Re: Installing ISA2006? Some details of your process would be useful. - Where did you get the package? - *exactly* how did you start the installation? - How far did you get in the installation before it tanked? - What options did you choose along the way?
