Subject: [isalist] ISAInfo for ISA 2004 updated

http://www.ISAserver.org

HI all,

Yes, I'm blasting both groups.
There are enough folks running ISA 2004 on SBS now that it's actually
worth the extra mail header.

http://isatools.org/isainfo/isainfo.zip is the link of choice.

Inside, you'll find three files:
Isainfo.js - this does the ISA scanning
Isainfo.hta - this can read any ISA-generated XML (not just
ISAInfo-generated) and produce a human-understandable web page.

For those that have been using the last version for awhile, the major
update is the inclusion of default values. As a space-saving measure,
these don't get reported in the ISA backup XML. Unfortunately, it's
impossible for the recipient to tell if the data was missing or
defaulted.

For those that are new to ISAInfo, it's a tool written to scan through
your ISA server and produce a configuration report in XML format.
If/when you call PSS for an ISA problem, this is one of the first things
they'll ask for. It really does make it easier to "express your ISA
setup"

It not only reports on your ISA configuration, but also on many of the
server configuration details that affect ISA functionality.
The next round of updates will include the ability to report IIS and DNS
service bindings - one of the most common configuration issues.

Feel free to grab your copy and play with it to your heart's content.
Please send any comments, bugs and general abuse to jim@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
