Your description is insufficient. "8 NICs and 5 IPs" tells us nothing of value. You'll need to outline the relationship of the ISA to all of the networks. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ <http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/> http://isatools.org <http://isatools.org/> Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- ________________________________ From: subscriptions [mailto:subscriptions@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, September 26, 2005 14:22 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] ISA2004 newbie here. ISA2004 as a router? http://www.ISAserver.org I was hoping I could replace several router/firewalls with ISA 2004 but after scanning lot's of documentation I'm disillusioned. My ISA 2004 server has 8 NICs installed and I have 5 public IPs I wanted to route with ISA2004. For example I want to connect the core router to the ISA box then distribute to separate subnets; I have 5 public IPs and currently use NetGear FVL328's for firewall and port distribution. I waned to use ISA2004 for the same function. Is this possible? Thanks in advance. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Visit TechGenix.com for more information about our other sites: http://www.techgenix.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx All mail to and from this domain is GFI-scanned.
