Easiest thing I can think of is to drag all the files you want to copy into
a folder, open a command prompt to that folder then do a 'type *.log >>
biglog.txt'. This whole Excel idea, of course, is only if your logs aren't
that huge which I know is certainly not the case for most of us...

Hi Joseph,

Very good. I am still curious if there is a way to conglomerate at series of
text files into a single text file and then important that into something
like Excel or Access. I've never tried it but figured there might be a way
to do this.

Thanks!

I have scripts to import from WebProxy, Packet Filter and Firewall into an
sql database.
I'll add some additional documentation later and get them out to everyone
who is interested.

I think I have the WebProxy script, table layout and import sql script on
Jimmy's site.

Hi Shawn,

Any tips on how to easily concatenate txt files? That would make it easier
to import into Excel or Access.

Thanks!

From a simplistic side of things, if they're not too large import your logs
into Excel and remove the columns you don't need.

Dear William, thanks a lot for your reply ,but the problem is that our
customer is not going to buy any additional tool ,and he is convinced
that if he can not get a report that it doesn't contains details about
each user in the company and what website had accessed in the last
month so it is worthless. I have installed the webmonitor tool on the
ISA server, it is very excelent it shows you each user and what is the
website that he is accessing but in real time monitoring and you cannot
log them to a database.

Best Regards William

Hi Samer

I do believe that what you are asking is not generically available
within ISA Server. You have 1 of 2 options:

Option1:
Dump your ISA Server logs to a SQL Database and write your own SQL
Queries to give you this information.

Option2:
Purchase a tool such as GFI Languard, Surfcontrol WEB Filter etc which
will in fact include many reports which I am quite sure will be able to
satisfy your request.

Cheers
William R.

Dears, all we need from ISA server is to generate a report showing us
all the usernames and all the websites that each user has accessed
during one month that means on each line the name of the user and what
website had accessed ,so if anyone have an idea ,please reply and thanks
in advance.
