You may not want to do both.
Link translation is required if your web site uses absolute URLs and the 
internal and external FQDN are different.

        This is happening because:
        1. you're allowing connections based on the IP address - this is bad by 
itself.
        2. ISA link translation will change the links on the page to match the 
site as the user sees it

        To fix this, either disable link translation for that rule or 
(preferably) stop connecting using the IP address.

        I have a web page with a simple

           <a href="https://my.domain.com";>https://my.domain.com</a>


        Viewed from INSIDE the domain, everything is normal.

        PUBLISHED THROUGH ISA 2006 as  https://my.other-domain.com/testpage
        the above becomes

          <a href="https://12.34.56.78";>https://12.34.56.78</a>

        The correct external IP for my.domain.com to be sure, but WHY is this 
happening?

        Viewing the page source confirms that the link is altered.
