Hi Stefaan,

The FTP situation through the browser has always been confusing and
often problematic, because it depends on the overall configuration of
the client, not just the browsing config, FWIU. I would be nice to have
a global setting that says "if it comes over a Web proxy connection,
then always use PASV" and "if it comes from a non-Web proxy connection,
use the method the client requests.

        Hi Tom,

I've read that topic with great interest too! I have tested
extensively ISA 2004 with a real FTP client and have detected some bugs
in some specific scenario's. They will be fixed in ISA 2004 SP2.
However, I never tested FTP through HTTP and the active/passive problem
they mentioned.

        According to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/isasdk/
isa/isa_server_2000_registry_values.asp there is no mapping for the old
regkey. So, either Jim should help us here or somebody should make a MS
PSS call ;-)

        HTH,
        Stefaan
