ISA and client IP address

ISA "hides" the client IP address from web servers, which get the ISA
machines IP address in server variables such as REMOTE_ADDR.
It was suggested in one thread on a microsoft.public newsgroup that an
ISAPI filter could stuff an extra bit of info into the headers to get
around this problem.
Has anyone done this? Is there any other work-around to make client IP
visible to the web server?
