ISA and Wildcard Cert

I read your doc (http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/2004wildcardcert.html)
and was excited to know that I can publish more then one secure website
with ISA with one external IP interface.
My question is can I get a wildcard cert from a public cert authority? I
had an server ssl (myserver.domain.com) from instantssl.com and they offer
a wildcard cert but they say it will not work with ISA and this
configuration. They say that each individual cert needs to be bound to an
external IP. Am I confused or are they? Any direction/comments would be
appreciated.
