I just read Shobha Sharma's excellent article on using NLB for ISA, but I don't understand how this will truly work if you don't have a virtual IP address for the private NIC on the ISA.
If I have a web publishing rule, and I go through one of the NLB ISAs, then the packets from the SNAT client will have to go back to the ISA server defined as the default gateway. If that ISA server goes down, then how will the NLB provide me with any redundancy?
Is it technically feasible to load balance the private NIC and point SNAT clients to this VIP as their default gateway?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Joe
