I have been trying to open up some custom ports for some custom
programs. I have built the protocol rule as well as the filter and it
seems that none of my NAT'd clients can use the program through that
port. The only computer that can use that program is the ISA server,
this is after I opened the filters for it. The ISA server works fine,
it's the clients that can't go out through this specific port.....am I
missing something here?

Kevin are you sure you can resolve your server name from the cmd line
WHILE the Firewall client sware has the red cross through it? Reason is
I had a similar prob whereby FW clients were being allocated the WRONG
IP addr of the server by WINS - this prob applies to SBS2K (is that what
your server is running) but I haven't got the Q# handy at the moment.

Either way run "nbtstat -c" from cmd line (will list your netbios name
cache) next time it happens to make sure your server name has been
resolved to the correct IP#.
