In addition I got following in event log

"The Microsoft Firewall service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1
time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000
milliseconds: Restart the service"

I don't have SP2 installed. Should I try doing it?

Running out of space for log files?

All of us will be stabbing in the dark without more information. What do the
alerts have to say? Event logs? ISA logs?

Is your ISA install patched and SP'd to the latest level? Are you running
any 3rd party addons. Is there anything in the event logs??

Subject: [isalist] ISA Server 2004 Services issue

Dear All

Needed little help from ISA techies. I am running ISA 2004 Standard edition
on windows 2000 server machine. I have around 100 nodes hitting ISAserver
(firewall clients configured). My ISA server suddenly stops responding to
clients and nothing works the firewall client icon also shows red cross on
it. I have to either restart the server or restart ISA services to resolve
the issue. This happens once in 2-3 days. What could be the issue?

Sincerely,

Shamshad Ahmad
