Sounds like someone has been playing with the security policies on that
machine and has locked this user out of his own part of the registry.

Subject: [isalist] ISA Firewall Client update error

http://www.ISAserver.org

Hi All,

ISA 2000 firewall client is running on domain member XP Pro SP2, when
double click on the firewall client icon on the system tray, firewall
client option will pop up, but when try to click on Update Now button,
an error message pops up "Unable to write the new setting to the
registry. The error code is %d." When try to click the OK button of
Firewall Client Option dialog box, it pops up "Unable to write the new
setting to the registry. The error code 5."

ISA was installed on a standalone win2k server.

Best Regards,

Ferric Chen
