Can I read more about his somewhere?  I do not understand the
difference.  Tell me what you really want to say; that being what the
difference is between these two setups:

A) 1 ISP connection + 1 "perimeter" connection

B) 1 ISP connection + 1 ISP connection

P.S. I must have missed Dan's email pointing out the differences
between external and perimeter.  Did he respond to my email with this
information?
