ISA 2000 to Isa 2004

Hi all,

I'm planning to upgrade from 2000 to 2004. 

A. Is it worth upgrading directly from ISA 2000 to 2004 or should I take
the sure path of a clean build?
B. If I do perform a clean build, can I backup the configuration\settings
of the old ISA 00 and restore it on to the new buld?
C. Are the any other recommendations?
