VPN is tunneling the protocols are the level of security you want. PPTP is point to point tunneling so that is what you most likely want. It is not as secure as L2TP but does not require any setup of certificates and is available in most of the common clients. -----Original Message----- From: DB [mailto:daniel.bourne@xxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, April 12, 2002 7:22 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] IPSEC Tunnel HELP!!! http://www.ISAserver.org I am configuring an ISA Server in an IPSEC gateway to gateway VPN and I need to use tunnel mode (not L2TP). The ISA VPN wizard only has an option of choosing the following protocols: L2TP over IPSEC use PPTP Use L2TP ove IPSEC if avail. if not use PPTP. Now I am no expert as you have probably figured out, but which protocol would I choose to use "tunnel mode" or am I way off base with this... Any advice would be appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: tim@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
