Hi Mike-- I'm not quite certain what you're getting at here. Are you talking about split DNS? I do have that set up--the external domain is "afsctmp.org" and the internal domain is "afsctmp.local." Can you clarify? Thanks, Rob -----Original Message----- From: Mike Malter [mailto:mike@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sunday, May 09, 2004 10:06 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: IMAP4 and POP relaying problems http://www.ISAserver.org Rob, I had this exact problem because of two factors. One was that I was supporting other domains and two, the suffix on my email addresses were not the same as my login id. You have to login domain\login\email alias to make it work. If you are hosting multiple domains, make sure that in the user login account that the User principal name suffix is set to their domain, and have them authenticate using their email address. Hope this helps. The Yahoo server or your upstream SMTP relay? Thanks! I can access the test Exchange box from OWA and I can send and receive SMTP mail with it. I have ISA on a box by itself, in integrated mode. The message screener is installed on the ISA box, which is in my real domain. Exchange is on a separate box in a separate test domain. When we connect to the test Exchange server via POP or IMAP and try to send email off-site (that is, off the test domain), we get the following error: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for xxx@xxxxxxxxx (where 'xxx' is an address at Yahoo we're trying to send to). We're doing this from inside the network, using a machine on the test domain. If we use IMAP or POP (from the same machine) to send to another user on the test domain, it works no problem. I'll keep looking for what might be going on here, but meanwhile if anyone has any hints, they would be much appreciated. Thanks!
