What sort of authentication are you using; NTLM, Basic, local-site method?
It may be that ISA can handle the auth / IP filtering for you and lighten up
the load on the web server.

Another reason in our case is because of our subscription based website.
Single based subscribers just log in, like normal people, but where we have
site based licenses we need to know there IP addresses so that we can allow
there site straight into our site without logging in.

If there is another way around this, then please tell me.
