Theresa,

I think the problem is that you are restricting the local computer to being the
ISA server's external IP address. Does it work if you remove that restriction?

Regards,
Nick

P.S. IHS's UK division are a client of ours

Subject: [isalist] IHS-Haystack

http://www.ISAserver.org

Information Handling Service (IHS) provides a direct connection software
package to their Haystack database. Since starting up our ISA server our
users can no longer connect. According to IHS we should only have to
enable a TCP filter both directions for port 4000 and list only their
server's IP address for the remote host access.

I have setup a new IP packet filter for TCP fixed port 4000 for both
internal and remote computers enabling both directions and listing the ISA
server's external address for the local computer and the IHS server for
the remote host. I then stopped and restarted the services. But we are
getting a connection timeout error. IHS says this error is due to the
connection being refused as the firewall is not passing the packets.

Has anyone out there worked with Haystack client software? If so, how did
you resolve this problem?

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Theresa
