I've posted an Article title "How to Enable Internet Access on ISA Server
Machine" it's explain how to setup ports, it's work very cool with my app's
that use SOCKS 5 interface.

I have this problem, all my clients on the network can use ICQ, ms
messenger,
and outlook express with any config. done. I assume it's safe for the
clients
since they are DHCP clients and the ip they obtained is not routable on the
internet. right?

now I need to setup the server in order for those appz to access the
internet.
say I have an application called kazaa, it's on the server and the clients
machines, now I have ISA setup. it can't access the internet. I found out in

its "options" tab, I can allow it to go onto the internet through SOCKS 5,
but
I am not sure how to set up SOCKs 5 on the server.

same thing goes for ICQ, the ICQ works on the clients machines, but not on
the
server, I have options for allowing ICQ to access the internet, one of the
options
is to set up protocols/filter for a range of ports from 1024 to 65535, but I
don't
want to do that. since if I can set up SOCKs 5 for Kazaa, I can use it for
ICQ as
well.

one more thing, if I don't install firewall client on the clients machines,
what
are the disadvantages?

If this App's are be in the workstation, you need to create /enable
protocols/filters to allow packet transmission/reception.

You need to install Firewall Client in each workstation that will use this.

At Learning Zone, you will find very good articles to help you with this
settings.

You can describe in details you problem?
