(Keeping it in the list) You may need to restart the ISA services or even the whole machine, depending on how many config changes you've made trying to get this to work. As solid as it is, the W2K TCP/IP stack can still get confused sometimes. Since ISA depends on that functionality, it's only as reliable as the underlying functionality... When I go to create the server publishing rule it will not accept the external ip address (any ip address) that I enter. When I choose the browse button to display a list of IP's there aren't any listed. My server has two IP addresses (an external {5.34.158.22} and an internal one {192.168.0.2}). Is there some other configuration I need to do with ISA to recognize the external ip? Thanks for your help. -Dan -----Original Message----- From: "Jim Harrison" <jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: 9/10/2001 3:06:20 PM Subject: Re: How To Access Windows Media Encoder Through ISA Create a protocol definition as: "Encoder" TCP Inbound Local port fixed, 8080 Remote port any Create a server publishing rule that maps an external IP to the encoder IP Make sure the encoder is a secureNAT client -- Jim Harrison MCP(2K), A+, Network+, PCG "Dan Penn" <danpenn@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:1e92c01c13a42$5bfd3d20$9ae62ecf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I have a Windows Media Encoder running on an internal server (port 8080) that I need to access through ISA from the Internet to receive video.
