Yup, but I was thinking more on the lines of internal dns for the
clients, dhcp would be a good idea too.

Nope, it'll work fine if you set the Isa server up with DNS.

Tom has some tremendous articles on www.isaserver.org for this very
scenario.

http://www.ISAserver.org

I have to get two branches connected via the internet.
I have dedicated bridged t1 right now but am losing that and having to
connect via public internet.

I made calls trying to find a DSL gateway VPN that would establish a
gateway to gateway VPN with ISA server. 3Com assured me that the
OfficeConnect Cable/DSL Secure Gateway would do the trick.

I have networked printers and thin clients, they cant get certificates.
The gateway will work with PPTP, but not as a gateway to gateway, and
l2tp/ipsec but cant load a certificate, and plain ipsec, but ISA wont do
that.

I have downloaded the ISA VPN Deployment kit, and printed the monster,
but it looks hopeless.

Does the OS have to be 2003 server as the kit says, or can you set
gateway to gateway on 2000 server? If I deploy a second ISA server
loaded on 2000 server at the remote site, can I get them connected
without having remote domain controllers and dns servers? The remote
site just has clients, no servers, they are all at this end.

The remote end is DSL and will be giving a dynamic IP address to the
remote gateway....

Am I sh*$ out of luck?
I am supposed to travel this weekend to get this set up.
