Flaky DNS server

Hi group.
My internal dns server is being very flaky lately.
It will not respond well to nslookup's from clients.
As DNS is not my cup of tea, I wonder if anyone on list could help out.
I attribute this dns problem to my NIC start-up problems as well.
Perhaps a "Nuke and Pave" of my isa server / dns server is in order, but I
REALLY don't have the time to do a rebuild.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
