Hi Bryan

I don't know if this will help, but the only problem I had on XP/2K
Clients was when I removed all the default Firewall Client
Configurations for the following processes:
Services
Spools
Svchost
W3proxy
Winlogon
Wspsrv
Etc etc

This then effectively told the firewall client to NOT permit these
processes access to the rest of the network and you can then understand
why I had problems.

Cheers
William R.

Anyone ever have an issue where the firewall client once installed
causes major issues in XP?

The processor was pegged - tried a restart and it would not come all the
way back up. SVCHost was utilizing most of the proc. Had to kill that
process, explorer, etc and could not get it going again until we
uninstalled the firewall client.

I have never seen this before...
