Hi Tim, Use the one that fits your needs. Works the same as URLScan when its installed on the Web server itself, except that settings on the ISA Server apply to *all* published servers. This might be a bit of challenge if you're publishing OWA, FP, and whatever other types of servers you want to publish, all requiring different URLScan.ini configs. The first thing I need to do is see if there are any differences between the OWA settings for the ISA URLScan.ini and what we use when we install it on the Web server. The next test is to determine whether we can the settings for the various server roles into a single URLScan.ini file (OWA, FP, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, etc) and use that. However, I suspect if you have a wide array of server roles that you need to support, you're best off configuring URLScan on each Web server. Would like to hear conflicting opinions, though :-) HTH, Tom Thomas W Shinder www.isaserver.org/shinder http://tinyurl.com/1jq1 http://tinyurl.com/1llp -----Original Message----- From: Deus, Attonbitus [mailto:Thor@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, January 07, 2003 3:30 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Re: Feature Pack 1 RELEASED! http://www.ISAserver.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 At 10:44 AM 1/7/2003, you wrote: >http://www.ISAserver.org > > >Ha :-D I think they're fixed the file extensions on the docs. > >Would be interesting to see if the SMTP filter fixes your issues. There are actually 3 .ini files created for URLScan: urlscan.ini urlscan_iis.ini urlscan_owa.ini I assume that these only work for Web Publishing... In addition, is the urlscan_owa.ini only used for sites published using the OWA Web Publishing wizard? Is it safe to assume that the urlscan_iis.ini is used for all other web publishing? And what is the default urlscan.ini file used for? In my installation, where I enabled the OWA filter, the urlscan.ini and urlscan_owa.ini file seem identical. Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?
