This works but then all SSL connections are going to be a Publishing Rule....is this a good idea? So ISA would not allow both SSL using Web Publishing and Server Publishing...? -----Original Me pdavies Junior Member Member # 3394 Rate Member <http://forums.isaserver.org/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_profile;u=00003394> posted July 03, 2002 11:56 PM <http://forums.isaserver.org/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_profile;u=00003394> <http://forums.isaserver.org/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=private_message;u=00003394> <http://forums.isaserver.org/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=edit_post;f=6;t=000920;reply_ num=000003;u=00003394> <http://forums.isaserver.org/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=reply;f=6;t=000920;replyto=00 0003> _____ I found a solution. There was one previous post in June with a similar error code. Solution=Make sure Listeners on Incoming Web Requests "Enable SSL Listeners" is unchecked! I checked my alerts in monitoring and no longer have publishing errors or resource allocation errors. Also The event log is clean with no more Event ID 14163 messages. Hope this helps -------------------- Peter Davies MCSE Vancouver B.C. ssage----- From: David Dellanno Sent: Friday, July 12, 2002 9:58 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] FW: SSL Problem http://www.ISAserver.org sorry...the Event ID 14163 -----Original Message----- From: David Dellanno Sent: Friday, July 12, 2002 9:24 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] SSL Problem http://www.ISAserver.org Hi everyone, I am running successfully Web Publishing Rule for Outlook Web Access with SSL. Now I'm ready to publish Sharepoint Portal Server and Sharepoint Team Servcies which would require the Server Publishing Rule for HTTPS, but what I am experiencing that ISA 2000 fails with an error as such: Event ID: 14160 Server publishing rule [SPS (SSL)] that maps 10.10.0.99:443 TCP to 123.123.123.123:443 for protocol [HTTPS Server] failed because the port on the external interface is being used by another application. The Firewall service failed to bind socket for the server on the firewall since another process is using the same port. Check for any other process using the same port and terminate if necessary. I have only one certificate on the ISA2000 Server that supports the OWA rule. That is the only site that works with SSL. Has anyone run into such an issue, I have tried both Technet and MS-KB but I was not able to find anything.
