I have tried using the FrontPage extensions previously on my web projects, the results where quite different then I had expected. It seems that when FrontPage uploads to the IIS using FP extensions, well what I found was it would strip out the ASP content and what I'd be left with was just the HTML. Needless to say, I didn't find that very funny. I have abandoned using FP to upload to my web server, nor do I use it's database functionality. Hopefully this will help, perhaps there is a MS Q article on it, but I could not find it. I did try to report it, but they wanted me to pay for tech support on their bug. If you get anywhere with it let us (me) know what you where able to figure out. regards, Mark ----- Original Message ----- From: Constantinos Bourliaskos To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Sent: Monday, September 17, 2001 3:41 AM Subject: [isalist] FW: Frontpage and database access. http://www.ISAserver.org -----Original Message----- From: Constantinos Bourliaskos [mailto:kbourlia@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, September 17, 2001 10:40 AM To: 'isalists@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: Frontpage and database access. Have created a 3 homed ISA scenario that works all fine. Have created numerous web servers in my DMZ that is accessible fine (creating the right packet filters and stuff). In the IIS I have enabled frontpage extensions and the developers that reside in the MZ can see the sites all well. The problem starts when trying to create a database form and maiking a link of the .mdb file with the form. Although the file (when creating it from fronpage 2000) is created and I can see it in the INETPUB folder, when someone tries to fill in some fields in the form and completes the process, even though it seems that the process is done no new records are shown in the .mdb file. The rights of the folders are both granted to everyone full control, although I know that the folder that contains the .mdb and the folder that has the .asp page for the form are exposed to everyone in that way. Anyone has any ideas? Im desperate please help! Kbourlia ********************* Constantinos Bourliaskos Systems Administrator STSNet S.A. Sifnou 2, Ag.
