http://www.ISAserver.org ------------------------------------------------------- Quit trying to "simulate" Exchange; it's as silly as trying to "simulate" SBS yourself. There's far more in the IIS configuration and the code installed by Exchange than you could ever simulate. Install Exchange, use the ISA publishing weirdzards and all should be operational. -----Original Message----- From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Spencer Read Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2007 9:01 AM To: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [isalist] Re: Exchange 2003 publishing with ISA 2006 http://www.ISAserver.org ------------------------------------------------------- Progress but not quite there yet! Because I didn't install exchange, I deleted the virtual directories and recreated them so I knew the permissions were correct as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/883380 After checking the logs and some googling, I created separate virtual directories for OMA and ActiveSync as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817379 I can now get to https://fqdn.company.com/oma, https://fqdn.comapny.com/exchange but not the Microsoft-Server-Activesync directory As far as I can see there is nothing in the Exchange IIS logs about this request - so I'm guessing it is not getting there! I'm still filtering the ISA logs for information, but in the live viewer I've seen connection attempts on port 443 from anonymous, but it never tries with a username so it denies the connection Am I right in getting this working first or is there a different approach I should go through? ...Spence -----Original Message----- From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Harrison Sent: 15 August 2007 14:38 To: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [isalist] Re: Exchange 2003 publishing with ISA 2006 http://www.ISAserver.org ------------------------------------------------------- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/915152 Time to check your ISA and IIS logs. Look for requests that include /Microsoft-active-sync/ in the URL. -----Original Message----- From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Spencer Read Sent: Wednesday, August 15, 2007 4:40 AM To: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [isalist] Exchange 2003 publishing with ISA 2006 http://www.ISAserver.org ------------------------------------------------------- Hi there, Just got my ISA server at the new company, but didn't remember my document links from the old company. I've searched and found bits and pieces, but I'm sure Tom did a complete start to finish document on publishing OWA and Activesync with ISA (2004 or 2006) I can get OWA working with SSL, but then Activesync via GPRS fails with error 0x85010014 on the device I've searched for this error and found lots of people saying to reinstall outlook (what's that got to do with it?) and 'just try it later' was another response - I'm sure this is something to do with permissions/authentication on the exchange server but I'm open to suggestions! I'd still like the document if anyone can point me in the right direction Thanks ...Spence ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
