Couldn't a one way trust be set up to take care of that issue? -----Original Message----- From: Thomas W Shinder [mailto:tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, July 06, 2004 10:24 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Domain Error After Quick Start Guide http://www.ISAserver.org Hi Tom, That's because the QS guide didn't cover user/group based access control. Once you get past that, its not quick anymore :-) The ISA firewall must join the domain if you are going to use domain based users and groups. SecureNAT clients can access the Internet with most all programs that they need to, if they have other programs that don't, installing the Firewall client does the trick. For example, I found that Telnet works only if Firewall client is installed. I only have one issue though, that the Quick Start guide did not address...When I try to change the "All Open" Protocol rule to allow only our [Global Security Group - INTERNET USERS] to have access, I get the error message... "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted" When I first try to change the access, I can see my AD Domain listed and when I choose it, I can see all my users and groups, but when I select the INTERNET USERS group, I get the above error. Any ideas on how to fix?
