b) I am not sure if you can compress the database.  You can probably use the
Windows 2000 disk manager to compress your partition where your database
sits on.
c) With SQL Server 2000 If you right click on a table in the Enterprise
Manager and select Open Table->Query, you get a graphical query builder that
will build and execute SQL commands for you.  This will not help you if you
are looking for formatted reports.  I would build a quick ASP page if I
needed a more professional looking report.
