Actually, it's a bit more complex than that.
What you have to do is:
1. back up your ISA configuration with:
    - isaexportimport.zip tools
    - isainfo.ex_
2. use the isaexport.exe tool from the ISA 2004 CD to create a configuration
XMl file for ISA 2004
3. download the hard drive imaging tool from www.pebkac.com and use it to
create a complete backup of the physical drive where ISA
and the OS are installed
4. quit reading this stupid response and enjoy a clean, simple upgrade process

I have a feeling that this might be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway.
When the final version is released, will it be possible to upgrade from 2000
to 2004, or do we need to do a clean install of ISA Server 2004?

Dana

Hey,

Guess what I heard!

ISA Server 2004 is going to include:

VoIP support!
User/group/protocol/site based bandwidth control!
Streaming media caching!
SSL VPN using SSL/PPP technology and strong policy based access control!
Layer 2 transparent proxy! RADIUS authentication support for Firewall
clients! One to One NAT! Ability to control source IP address for outbound
communications from SMTP servers!

Is this cool or what?

Tom

Hello! Is there any way I can lock clients down to a certain destination set
by user id, or does it have to be IP address?

Tx!
Greg.
