Mostly because users are stupid!
They accept incomming ,UNTRUSTED files without batting an eye.
And beyond that what are they using IM's for other than wasting company
time?
The companies Risk vs User reward
www.secuityfocus.com is a good resource if you want to research specific
venurablities... But you should be able to win this argument on
principal alone

Could someone pleaase tell me the dangers of having Imers
like Ypager and MSN messenger on the company network. I
have them blocked now but I'm taking alot of heat because
people want to use them and i will be forced to unblock
them if i cant backup why i blocked them. I read the
article on isaserver.org about dangerous protocal's but
was wondering if their was any moreinformation about this?
