Amy Babinchak Technology Consultant I have a pretty typical small business setup. We have a DSL router that is configured to assign the SBS server a NAT address of 192.168.1.100. This is our "external" NIC. The internal NIC is 10.0.0.4. I am trying to allow client computers to connect to the server using VPN. The owner is leaving on vacation on Wednesday for 3 weeks and just informed me today that he wants to VPN in. Typical! My laptop gets an IP address of 192.168.1.112 mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.112 from the router but I never get through to the internal network. I can use terminal services from here but not VPN. What should I do? Do I need to stop the DSL router from assigning an IP to the client? Do I need a valid public IP for the external NIC on the ISA server? Amy
