Why do you have shorten your favorite words (WTF), instead

What does line 5 tell?
Also if you're using logon scripts to map network drive, then
at the command prompt run net use and see what's mapped?
Some times you find mapped drives without letters and those
need to be deleted for mapped network drives to work.
I am so sorry that you have to deal with your self for the
rest of you life :(

The caveats of user context and logon method are absolutely
valid questions for the people who are trying to help to ask.
You're the one who said it was a name resolution problem- I
think we should hear that from the OP, don't you? You may be
causing misinformation without knowing it.
I'm sorry if this bores you, but we're still trying to find
out what the real problem is. If that is "high school" to
you, then I think that's something you have to deal with.
I'm just trying to help.
Regarding respect, I don't think it is appropriate for you to
bust on the questions I'm asking when I'm taking time out of
my Sunday to help other people, particularly in the absence
of any supportive posts from you.

Correct - it is not the same. Setting application and such is
bypassed, as are "logon scripts," but it much faster and
provides the
same functions.

Right, but when you then connect up to the VPN, you're
authenticated
as a domain user, and the pass-through creds access
domain resources
as they normally would. Network services and machine context can
also access the domain.

Are you certain about this? I have remote users that log onto
their machines while disconnected from the VPN (Using cached
credentials of course), and then when they connect to
the VPN they
have full access to their shares. It doesn't run their login
scripts for them, but it does allow them access wihtout retyping
user info.

Joel,
You have to find a way to log onto the domain AFTER the VPN
connection is established. That's why you can't see the network
neighborhood.
Cisco VPN clients have a setting that allows that.
I haven't
tried it on Microsoft VPN clients and I'm not sure if it's even
supported.

user?
And what does this have to do with DNS?
How is the drive mapped? By IP/HostName/FQDN?
