What I meant to say was that even thought the Web browser is a Web proxy
client, these java apps don't necessarily take their cues from the
browser config, so they act in the role of SecureNET or FWC. In that
case, you do need to create a Protocol Definition and Access Rule
allowing that custom protocol. :\

And if the POS depends on multiple primary or secondary connections, get
ready for making it an avocation figuring out what they are, because the
devs won't tell you because their GUI dev environment did that
"thinking" for them =%-\
