They're used for when ISA has no "sub-error" or when the upstream server barfs up a 502. BTW, if you have any ideas how to create a relatively XSS-resilient form of the redirects scripts, I'm all ears... ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Thor (Hammer of God) [mailto:thor@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, December 21, 2005 11:23 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Re: Custom Error Pages http://www.ISAserver.org Ah- that's the trick then... I just got ISA_Redirects.zip. I guess my question is, the 502 and 502r files that are already there (in the ErrorHtms) are not the ones that come up when you actually get a 502 error... What's up with that? ----- "I may disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Harrison" <Jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "[ISAserver.org Discussion List]" <isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, December 21, 2005 9:22 AM Subject: [isalist] Re: Custom Error Pages http://www.ISAserver.org Actually, that's an HTTP error. The best way is to create custom pages that are named for the ISA error, such as "12202.htm" & "12202r.htm". This is the basis for the isa_redirects.zip package - it uses a custom 12211r.htm page. The distinction for the "r" file is that this is served for web publishing, secureNET and FWC requests. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Thor (Hammer of God) [mailto:thor@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, December 20, 2005 23:44 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Re: Custom Error Pages http://www.ISAserver.org OK- I can actually change the default.htm to do what I want (with that kickass DENIED! wav file as well as long as I have it pointing to a FQDN source reachable by the client). So I can now put a nice black background with red letters and my spinning skull to do all the cool stuff I want. But still I'd like to do it only for 502. The 502 and 502r html files are different-- is there a way to do some service-side magic? ----- "I may disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thor (Hammer of God)" <thor@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "[ISAserver.org Discussion List]" <isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, December 20, 2005 11:19 PM Subject: [isalist] Custom Error Pages > http://www.ISAserver.org > > Oh Great and Mighty ISA Ninja and the Great and Mighty Dr. Feelgood: > > I've seen where Jim has said "ISA isn't a web server- if you want custom > error msgs, point to an internal server and blah, blah, blah."
