Hi all,

We have a single ISA Standard server with web proxy clients (around 200 of
them), and around 20 Exchange OWA/Outlook anywhere users connecting through the
ISA server.

There is nothing on the ISA server apart from ISA itself, the Websense plugin
(Websense components are on a different box), and the Kaspersky AV plugin.

Server is a PowerEdge 1850 with a single 3 GHZ Xeon processor, with 2GB of RAM.
RAM usage is slightly higher than that at around 2.7GB.

Incoming connections are fine for all the Exchange stuff, but outgoing web
requests are very slow. I believe the problem is due to a congested Internet
pipe, as I get similar speeds when not going through the ISA proxy, and the
traffic monitoring stats on the pipe suggest that the ISA server IP address on
the external interface is eating the bandwidth. However, I was wondering
whether there is any way of telling the throughput of the ISA box, or whether
the ISA box is responsible for the slowdown in any way? The directors need
this information before shelling out for a faster pipe.

Thanks.
Andrew.
