Thanks Tom! Creating a VPN protocol rule cured pinging the local subnet. I have some other subnets that I still can not ping. I tried adding subnets in the "IN" tab under the VPN Protocol Rule I created but this did not work. Under "Network Objects", "Internal Network", "Addresses" I added the subnets. This did not work either. I also went to "Network Rules", "VPN Clients to Internal....", "Destination Networks" and added the subnets there. This still did not work. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Did you create a rule to allow these protocols from the VPN clients network to the Internal network? Did you restart after enabling the VPN server component of the ISA firewall? Thanks! I tested it and was able to login and bring up the server shares. I tried to ping an internal network address and could not. I can ping no internal addresses. I really need to be able to do this. Neither FTP nor TELNET will work. I used to be able to do this in ISA 2000. Any Ideas? Thanks! (Thanks for the great articles Tom. Can't wait for your new book to be released.)
