That's what threw me off.... I was totally expecting a "shick-shick BOOM" response to that "How to bypass the ISA2004 firewall features" email... ;)

Instead of trying to destroy your firewall, try determining the
protocols/ports required for your backup application and create
policies to allow that traffic.

Disabling the firewall is just poor understanding of your own
processes.
