Hi Shawn, Hmmm. OK, I just use a little different nomenclature. Tomato/Tomaaato :-) It might be that the upstream is a little slow in responding, since it happens when the server is busy. Does the packet filter log show anything interesting? Thanks! Here's the picture: Client --> ISA (cache only) --> Non-ISA Firewall's HTTP Proxy -Shawn ----- Shawn R. When you don't have direct communication with the upstream Web Proxy service, you're not chaining, you're just a SecureNAT client. Is that the case? Thanks! The ISA's the only thing that caches. More of a chain than a hierarchical cache. -Shawn ----- Shawn R. Thanks! It mostly happens around lunch which is of course the busiest time for the proxy. Anyone know exactly fires those events? Is it simply a failed connection when trying to forward a request or what? Do I need to tune the ip stack on the box maybe? Nobody's griping about degraded services (thank God), but I want to fix the problem so that it doesn't escalate into end-user-griping. -Shawn ----- Shawn R.
