You NEVER want to block *.akami.net!!!!! That is unless you want to block a
major part of the internet. Akami is one of the largest distributed data
hosts in the world with 15000 servers in 65+ countries around the world.
Blocking their servers is like saying "I don't want to have any of my
internet data pass through a CISCO device" Their client list is here:
http://www.akamai.com/en/html/about/customers.html and there are many more
including Google, Microsoft and many more people use Akami for data hosting,
and other services. - Marc
