I am a tad confused. MSN will not work by default here. The article
mentioned is how to ALLOW it. Did you do something to open it up in the
first place? I don't have firewall clients installed.

I tried the Q suggested but it does not work, I can still access MSN
messenger no problem. Should I just get a different firewall? My friend can
do it no problem with a PIX firewall solution.
