That would be fine. It is a test network I run from home so I don't get fired for breaking something at work. I'll email you separate with the info and an account. It has been running too long without a major problem anyway :-) I did have bandwidth control working in the previous build for this same test environment. The big difference in the current incarnation is Win2k3 throughout. I love being able to see what breaks before I implement it at work. Adds to the mystique ;-) Best Regards, Dan Bartley _____ From: Thomas W Shinder [mailto:tshinder@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, July 09, 2003 21:00 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Bandwidth Priorities problem http://www.ISAserver.org Hi Dan, If you're willing to be crash test dummy for me, I'd be willing to connect to your box remotely. I'm testing an app called RapidAssist and it provides pcAnywhere like services via HTTP and or HTTPS. Send me a note and we can arrange "an appointment" Bandwidth control issues are always pretty interesting to me, since they're so finicky. Thanks! I'll take anything. 2 nickels even :-) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------- I'm trying to use Bandwidth Priorities. I set up 2 new bandwidth policies. 1 with 200 (best) and one with 50 (regular), inbound and outbound. I also tried a priority of 10 and 1 for each, which would seem to be defeated by the default rule which is at 100. I create a rule and tried assigning both client sets and accounts to both. This is with an external connection of 650K both ways cable modem. I enable bandwidth priorities and input 650 for the effective bandwidth. Everything comes to a grinding halt, regardless of internal source. Web pages start to load and then freeze. Tried with a news reader, loads the first 34 articles and then stops. And so on. I disable bandwidth control and everything works fine again, except no bandwidth control. Any thoughts on what I might be missing here? Did I misinterpret the docs?
